Substitute for Applesauce in Baking

Usually, we use applesauce as a substitute for oil ion, several recipes. It is an excellent option for vegans and those watching their calorie intake. However, when you run out of applesauce, what do you do? Well, you have to adopt other substitutes. This post provides a few of them:

1. Pureed apples

This is a straightforward procedure where you core a few apples and blend them. Process them to extract a good texture you can use for your baking needs. This substitute is not only straightforward in preparation but as healthy as you can get too.

2. Sweet potatoes

The procedure for making sweet potatoes bow to your preferred texture may be a little complicated. You want to make sure they are mashed. But, before then, you have to bake them first. Then mash them until when they turn into a puree, and then you can use them for baking.

3. Fruits

Butter:- this is an exciting option for your baking. In fact, butter has been an ingredient in cooking for a long time now. So, it is not an experimental expedition. The only downside is that it has a high-fat content. If your applesauce was to prevent the use of fats, then butter is not a good alternative for you.

Cheese:- cottage cheese and cream cheese can all be used in this case. However, creamed cheese will give you better results with the texture and flavor. Cottage cheese has to be blended before it is viable for baking and it can be used to make muffins and cheesecake.

Yogurt:- there is the lower fat content in yogurt. It is further creamier and has more moisture just like a typical applesauce substitute. Therefore, yogurt can be a perfect alternative for applesauce in your ingredients.

5.Coconut milk

Coconut can be squeezed for its milk. The milk contains some oil, moisture, and the coconut flavor. To mimic the applesauce taste, you can mix the coconut milk with apple cider vinegar.

Oil, cauliflower, tofu, beets, etc. can also be used to make exciting alternatives for applesauce. If fruits and milk products are not your preferred option, try these out.
